ABOUT US

The Malaysia Numismatic Society (MNS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the research, collection and documentation of coins, banknotes, medals, tokens and related exonumia items.

 

We strive to serve the needs of the collectors, the academic community and the general public who have an interest in numismatics.

 

We promote the hobby by helping people from all walks of life discover, learn and explore the world of money and related artifacts through our events, publications and educational programs.

OBJECTIVES OF THE SOCIETY

  • To promote the interest and the highest possible standards in the study and knowledge of coins, banknotes, medals and other matters of numismatic interest through our programs and events

 

  • To arrange the exchange or sale of material of numismatic interest by organizing lectures, seminars, symposiums or auctions

 

  • To display numismatic materials at public or private exhibitions and by other similar means to foster interest in numismatics

 

  • To develop quality control programs for grading and authentication procedures in numismatics and numismatic related fields

 

  • To recognize and encourage members with fellowships and awards
